The 70th year of Independence was celebrated in UTC with flag hoisting
at 7:30 A.M. followed by morning worship in the Charles Ranson Hall. The
worship included colourful and meaningful programmes by students and
community members from different parts of India. P.K. Abdul Rehman,
Professor, University of Madras spoke about the need of a free and independent
India where all communities respect one another. All members of the community actively participated in the flag
hoisting and worship service.
