Quiet Day in UTC

The first Quiet Day of the academic year 2015-16 of the United Theological College will be held today and tomorrow in the Ziegenbalg chapel of the UTC. Monsignor Fr. Dr. S. Jayanathan, the director of the Archdiocesan Communication Centre of the Catholic Church, Bangalore Archdiocese will be the Quiet Day leader. The Quiet Day sessions start today evening at 8 P.M. and continue tomorrow at 8:30 A.M., 11 A.M. and 3 P.M.

Monsignor Fr. Jayanathan is the Vicar General of the diocese and has held various positions in different churches and institutions of the Catholic Church in Bangalore. He is a well known preacher and retreat leader.

A special worship "Remembering Holy Innocents: A service of remembrance" will be held at the Ziegenbalg chapel in UTC tomorrow (Dec 19, 2014) at 8:30 A.M.

Memorial prayer held for Mr. S.R.J. Sathyakumar

A memorial prayer was held for Mr. S.R.J. Sathyakumar in the chapel yesterday at 7:00 P.M. He died on Sunday and was buried in his hometown yesterday morning. Mr. Sathyakumar is the father of Rev. Dr. Santosh S. Kumar. Mr. Sathyakumar was a teacher, musician and manager of the Sathyanesan group of institutions. Condolences were offered during the prayer by Mr. Rohan Pushparajan (BD IV), Dr. Evangeline Anderson Rajkumar and Dr. Nalini Arles. Mr. Raja Samuel lead the prayer which was attended by the students and faculty members.
